iOS app icon generator.
Drop in your artwork and get the icon App Store Connect actually accepts: a 1024 × 1024 PNG with no transparency and no alpha channel, inside an AppIcon.appiconset folder you can drag into Xcode. Every legacy size too, if your project still needs them.
Short answer: modern Xcode needs one 1024 × 1024 PNG and makes the small sizes itself. It must be fully opaque with no alpha channel, or the upload fails with ITMS-90717. This page writes exactly that file.

Worked example
Our habit tracker Chain ships exactly what the first button makes: one file, icon-1024.png, and a Contents.json with a single entry ("idiom": "universal", "platform": "ios", "size": "1024x1024"). Xcode renders every smaller size at build time. We build it on a Windows PC through GitHub Actions, with no Mac, and it passed App Store review. If your artwork is a 1024 PNG with a transparent background, the checks above flag it, and the export fills the transparent pixels with your background color and writes the file without an alpha channel, so the upload doesn't fail with ITMS-90717.
How it works
- One size is enough today. Apple's spec for iOS, iPadOS and macOS icons is a 1024 × 1024 px square, and "the system automatically scales your icon to produce smaller variants" for Settings, Spotlight and notifications (Human Interface Guidelines: App icons). Leave the corners square: iOS applies the rounded mask itself.
- No alpha channel. App Store Connect rejects a large app icon that is transparent or merely contains an alpha channel, even a fully opaque one (error ITMS-90717, see Apple Developer Forums). Browsers always save canvas PNGs with alpha, so this page writes its own PNG: color type 2 (RGB), 8 bits per channel, compressed with your browser's built-in deflate.
- Colors. The export is sRGB, one of the color spaces Apple lists for app icons. A Display P3 source is converted by your browser.
- Legacy sizes. The second button writes the classic full set below for older Xcode projects and older deployment targets. Downscaling halves the image step by step so small sizes stay sharp.

Building the newer layered Liquid Glass icons with dark, clear and tinted appearances is done in Apple's Icon Composer, which this tool doesn't replace.
