Name

The style comes from the seed: colour field, grid, drip, landscape, nested squares, portrait, target or pop quadrants.

How to use it: type a name (yours, your dog's, your startup's). The painting changes as you type. Surprise me paints from a random number instead. Download PNG saves it with its plaque.

How it works

It is the real engine. Proof Engine is the Rust renderer O'BLOCK ships with. For the web I compiled it to WebAssembly (301 KB gzipped) and swapped its desktop OpenGL window for a WebGL2 canvas. Same glyph-particle renderer, same HDR bloom and colour grade as the game.
Name to number. Your name, trimmed and lower-cased, goes through a 64-bit hash (FNV-1a, then mixed), so there are about 18 quintillion possible paintings and changing one letter changes everything.
Number to painting. The number picks the style, the frame, five colours and where every split, drip or ring goes. Then each cell is coloured with a little grain, the way O'BLOCK paints the art in your crib.
Styles borrow from the canon, never its pictures: colour fields, grids, drips, landscapes, nested squares, portraits, targets and pop quadrants.
