clippy::suspicious_xor_used_as_pow: `^` is not the exponentiation operator
What it meansWarns for a Bitwise XOR (^) operator being probably confused as a powering. It will not trigger if any of the numbers are not in decimal. It is in the restriction group and off by default.

Does it matter?
It’s most probably a typo and may lead to unexpected behaviours.
Lints that forbid language features for specific codebases (no unwrap, no indexing...). Off by default; pick them one by one, never the whole group.
How to fix it
Clippy does not fix this one automatically (its suggestion may change behaviour, so it only shows it). Change the code by hand:
Flagged
let x = 3_i32 ^ 4_i32;
Write this instead
let x = 3_i32.pow(4);
Turn it off, or on
It is off by default. To use it, set it to warn or deny:
Whole crate (Cargo.toml)
[lints.clippy]
suspicious_xor_used_as_pow = "warn"In code
#![warn(clippy::suspicious_xor_used_as_pow)]One run
cargo clippy -- -W clippy::suspicious-xor-used-as-powThe [lints] table needs Rust 1.74 or newer. In a workspace, put it under [workspace.lints.clippy] and add [lints] workspace = true to each member.

What it does
Warns for a Bitwise XOR (^) operator being probably confused as a powering. It will not trigger if any of the numbers are not in decimal.
Why restrict this?
It’s most probably a typo and may lead to unexpected behaviours.
Example
let x = 3_i32 ^ 4_i32;
Use instead:
let x = 3_i32.pow(4);
From the Clippy lint list (0.1.99), part of the Rust project, MIT or Apache-2.0. Official entry.
