Does it matter?

Using the fill method is more idiomatic and concise.

Code that works but is not idiomatic Rust. Warns by default.

How to fix it

Clippy does not fix this one automatically (its suggestion may change behaviour, so it only shows it). Change the code by hand:

Flagged

let mut some_slice = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5];
for i in 0..some_slice.len() {
    some_slice[i] = 0;
}

Write this instead

let mut some_slice = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5];
some_slice.fill(0);

Turn it off, or on

Allow it where it does not fit your code, as narrowly as you can:

On one item

#[allow(clippy::manual_slice_fill)]
fn my_function() { /* ... */ }

Whole crate (Cargo.toml)

[lints.clippy]
manual_slice_fill = "allow"

One run

cargo clippy -- -A clippy::manual-slice-fill

The [lints] table needs Rust 1.74 or newer. In a workspace, put it under [workspace.lints.clippy] and add [lints] workspace = true to each member.

for i in 0..some_slice.len() {
    some_slice[i] = 0;
}

Use instead:

let mut some_slice = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5];
some_slice.fill(0);

Configuration
