clippy::mistyped_literal_suffixes: Warns for mistyped suffix in literals
What it meansWarns for mistyped suffix in literals It is in the correctness group and denied by default (the build fails).
Does it matter?
This is most probably a typo
Code that is almost certainly wrong. Denied by default: the build fails until you fix it or allow it.
How to fix it
Clippy does not fix this one automatically (its suggestion may change behaviour, so it only shows it). Change the code by hand:
Flagged
`2_32` => `2_i32`
`250_8 => `250_u8`
Turn it off, or on
Allow it where it does not fit your code, as narrowly as you can:
On one item
#[allow(clippy::mistyped_literal_suffixes)]
fn my_function() { /* ... */ }Whole crate (Cargo.toml)
[lints.clippy]
mistyped_literal_suffixes = "allow"One run
cargo clippy -- -A clippy::mistyped-literal-suffixesThe [lints] table needs Rust 1.74 or newer. In a workspace, put it under [workspace.lints.clippy] and add [lints] workspace = true to each member.

What it does
Warns for mistyped suffix in literals
Why is this bad?
This is most probably a typo
Known problems
- Does not match on integers too large to fit in the corresponding unsigned type
- Does not match on
_127since that is a valid grouping for decimal and octal numbers
Example
`2_32` => `2_i32`
`250_8 => `250_u8`
From the Clippy lint list (0.1.99), part of the Rust project, MIT or Apache-2.0. Official entry.
