fastlane
Short answerfastlane is an open-source tool that automates iOS and Android release chores: signing, building, screenshots, metadata upload and submitting for review.
Why it matters
It lets a CI job submit an app with no one clicking through App Store Connect, including the export compliance and content rights questions.
Our number
Every submission of our apps goes out from a GitHub Actions macOS runner through fastlane's upload_to_app_store; a separate binary-only lane avoids overwriting store text set through the API.
