App Store Connect
Short answerApp Store Connect is Apple's website and API for publishing apps: app records, builds, metadata, screenshots, prices, in-app purchases, TestFlight and review submissions.
Why it matters
Almost everything except creating the app record can be automated through its API with an API key, which is how you publish from CI or from Windows.
Our number
We publish 20+ iPhone apps from Windows through its API, but the API cannot create an app record: POST /v1/apps returns 403.
