Why look a company up here
Contracts, filings and lobbying sit in three government databases with three search forms. Reporters, analysts, salespeople selling to government and investors end up checking all three, one company at a time. This page puts the newest of each side by side, with the link to every record.

Where the records come from
- Federal contracts and grants: USAspending.gov transactions (FPDS and FABS). Defense Department actions are published about 90 days after signing.
- SEC filings: the EDGAR submissions feed, with 8-K items translated into plain words.
- Lobbying: the Senate Lobbying Disclosure Act database, this year's reports, newest first.
Results are cached for 6 hours. Names are matched as filed, so a company that lobbies under another name (Alphabet as Google) needs that name.
